Hi there my ebonies, ivories, mauves, peaches, pinks, ochres, beiges, sunbursts and screaming reds!

The Twitter community keeps churning out great little snippets of inspiration in its trending topic catagory.
Today, or at least half an hour ago, number one (according to Hootsuite) was #ReasonsThatISmile.

I didn’t even have to check what people tweeted, because the music started flowing immediately. Thank you Twitter.

One would expect a happy tune, of course, but raving romantic as I am, it trinkled into something kinda-weary-kinda-sad. That may have something to do with the fact that my dear wife is out for the weekend, having a wonderful time with Marjolein in the provence of Limburg. Go get them, girls!

So, are there reaons to smile?
Why of course there are!
• Hearing your three year old sing the whole chorus of Drive My Car out of the blue
• Discovering seven bunches of grapes on your vine
• Eddie Izzard
• Playing piano
• The one about the Algerian, the Saudy Arabian and the Belgian
• Lactose tollerance
• Billy the mountain
• UB40 (LOL)
• Radiolab
• A Prairie Home Companion

Actually, the reasons are endless. I smile all the time and, as long as I allow myself, I seem to be able to find something hilarious in just about every situation I’m in, except perhaps for child abuse and animal porn, which I take very seriously (satire).
